Speed Picking G Major Scale Exercise (Sequencing)

Taught by: Lisle Crowley

Intermediate, Advanced, Master

An exercise designed to help the student develop right hand speed and accuracy while becoming familiar with the G major scale across the neck.

Introduction

This lesson is for the intermediate to advanced player who wants to develop right hand expertise and also learn "to play out of the box" or approach the major scales (in this case..G) more horizontally.

This lesson consists of a demonstration video, video 1 that teaches the mechanics of the exercise, video 2 which demonstrates more advanced elements like theory and additional ways to approach the exercise, a pdf which has standard notation and tablature for guitar of the exercise, and an mp3 backing track which the student can play and use the scale in the exercise to solo.

It should be pointed out that even though this execise was developed primarily for guitar with the standard notation pdf and the mp3 any instrument can use this for a technique and improvisation exercise.
