About The Author

Quintin Louw

Thanks for finding me. I started playing guitar in South Africa in the early 90's. After hearing players like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, the guitar became sort of an addiction for me. Its all I wanted to do. One night after playing the most memorable gig to the biggest audience i'd ever been in front of, I got a call to say my mom passed away. This moment, changed my life forever. It got me thinking and questioning my life deeply and I decided to make a list of things I wanted to experience before I die. Using this list as a guide, somehow led me to the Royal Albert Hall in England where I met Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Dave Weiner. Dave had told me about his time spent at GIT (Musicians Institute) in Hollywood CA and it became clear as day that it's exactly what I had wanted to do, so I did. Even after Graduating from GIT I am still a student of the guitar and it's my wish that this information finds its way to whoever it's meant to. Cheers, Quintin
