Nan teaches piano and voice lessons at North Fulton School of Music in Alpharetta.
She has performed extensively in the Atlanta area in opera, oratorio and musical theater. She has appeared in several roles with the Atlanta Opera, most recently as Kate Pinkerton in Puccini?s Madama Butterfly. She made her solo debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as Rossweisse in Wagner?s Die Walküre under the baton of Donald Runnicles. Ms. Nowell has performed many seasons in the Atlanta Opera Studio in the roles of Lucy in Menotti?s The Telephone, Mother/ Grandmother in Barab?s Little Red Riding Hood, and Veronica in Bizet?s Dr. Miracle.
