There are a total of seven scales found within the major scale. They are referred to as Modes. Learn the LIMDAPLE approach to understanding the modes of the major scale. This lesson introduces both the parallel and relative approaches to learning the modes. It gives a ‘big picture’ understanding of what the modes are before diving deeper and exploring each mode , its sound and functions individually.
