Many who pursue the life of a musician find themselves dealing with anxiety, frustration, and even a sense of failure. On the other hand, when success makes an appearance, we can reach great states of euphoria. Does this mean that there is no middle ground? Not necessarily. We do have a calming period, but I would argue that it is only short lived. By the time we are able to recognize this short lived blip then we are quickly reminded of the stresses of living a life of uncertainty. This constant battle will separate those who are obsessed from those who are only pursuing a hobby.
