I am a music educationalist and instructional designer based out of Langley Park, Maryland. I have spent over 10 years in music education teaching children from Pre-Kindergarten through the 12th grade and holds dual master’s degrees in Music Education from Indiana University and in Instructional Design and Technology from George Mason University.  Along with a love of music, I am also greatly interested in the role technology can play in teaching and learning, and is passionate in finding solutions over many of the educational roadblocks surrounding us.

Currently I am working on a flipped classroom initiative to make elementary general music a much more student-centered learning experience. By utilizing video and mixed media that combine multiple learning modalities, the goal of this project is to create web-based instructional material that is accessible and understandable to elementary aged music student without the need for heavy amounts of direct teacher instruction.
