Which Type Of Artist Are You?

2017-08-24T02:34:00.0Z

Recently I was reading a book by Maria Brophy called Art Money & Success. There was one sentence that caught my attention and made me really consider the bigger picture further.

"There is the game of the poor artist paradigm, the game of the artist seeking to win accolades and then there is the game of the financially successful artist."

Just like so many others I have pushed to gain attention and recognition as a musician. If I really consider the end goal, which is to gain financial independence and care for my family while communicating to others through music, then I feel less of an attachment to being "recognized".

Start with the end in mind and discover the path you are truly walking.
