     I am an experienced, patient performer, instructor and recording artist and happy to offer group and private guitar lessons for students of all ages and levels.   Over the past 15+ years, I have worked with students from 6 to retirees and with beginners who have never played an instrument as well as advancing college and professional musicians. 
     An experienced classical guitarist, I have performed in a wide variety of popular and international styles over the years (rock, blues, jazz, latin, etc) and am happy to offer my students the same range of musical experiences.  All of my students have the opportunity to study both fingerpicking and flatpicking in many styles whether they play acoustic or electric guitars.

      I am happy to provide a variety of low pressure performance opportunities for my students and  have been pleased to help many of my students prepare for successful recitals, college and scholarship auditions,  to participate in school and popular ensembles, and to continue to play the guitar for years after their studies with me - whether as avid amatuers or professional musicians!   I have also been pleased to work with students with learning disabilities,  those with visual/aural impairments as well as English language students.

     My students always take a role in directing their own lessons and choosing the songs and styles we study while also being certain to address fundamental right and left hand techniques as well as the universals of music including note reading, music theory, ear training, improvisation, transcription/arranging and composition.
