About Marie Trudeau

Marie is principal oboe of the Bay Atlantic Symphony, New Jersey Festival Orchestra and a member of Allentown Symphony. She teaches at Rowan University and the Lewis School in Princeton.  She performs regularly at Carnegie, and many of the beautiful halls in the tri-state area as well as throughout the country. Marie can be heard on a Grammy nominated jazz album, "Pictures at an African Exhibition," and on many soul recordings for comedian, Tracy Morgan.

She hold a Doctorate from Rutgers University (ABD), a Masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Bachelors from Michigan State University, all in music performance.  She has been invited to teach master classes at schools throughout New Jersey and holds a private studio of her own.

Dr. Trudeau feels deeply that music is the gateway to opening the universe of culture.  It teaches skills, coordination, dexterity, discipline, and nourishes the soul better than any activity.

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." Plato
