Marketing and Social Media Intern

This is a paid, remote position. Applicants must reside in the state of Wyoming during the duration of the internship. In addition, qualified applicants must be between the ages of 16-24 years of age and be a student in high school or secondary school (college or trade).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Marketing and Social Media Intern to assist with creating, managing, and tracking marketing content (videos, images, text). Content you create will be posted on our social media accounts (Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, and Facebook), as well as the MusicLessons.com platform itself. This is a highly creative position and we want you to enjoy the work you do. We will be tracking the performance of all the marketing content you create in order to learn what resonates with our target audience. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience creating, tracking, testing, and managing the content/posts that you help create.

Time Commitment

The internship duration is for a minimum of 3 months, 10 hours per week (or 40 hours per month), with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. We value long-term commitment and encourage interns to stay with us for the duration of the internship to gain the most comprehensive experience and make meaningful contributions to the company.

Compensation

This position will pay a starting wage of $15 per hour. You will be paid as a part-time employee of MusicLessons.com, LLC on a bi-weekly basis, and will be responsible for any taxes or other deductions that are required by law.

MusicLessons.com is an education technology platform for musicians, providing online tools for teachers and students to help them teach and learn.

What You Will Do

  • In general, you will create, track, and evaluate marketing content on the MusicLessons.com platform and on our social media accounts
  • More specifically, you will use screencast and video editing tools to create videos that demonstrate how to use our website
  • Tap into your creative side to conceptualize and create short video stories that can be posted on social media
  • Create simple reports that summarize and evaluate how our target audience is responding to your work
  • Learn how the MusicLessons.com platform works
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the work you do

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants must reside in the state of Wyoming for the duration of the internship
  • Between the ages of 16 and 24 years old
  • Currently attending high school, a secondary college, or trade school
  • Access to a computer capable of running video editing software and working with large files
  • Desire to work with video editing software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively using one or more of the following social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tik Tok
  • Experience posting content on social media is preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively
  • Ability to play a musical instrument is awesome, but not required
