In Person

I enjoy teaching any kind of student who is interested in learning how to play the French Horn, or Trumpet.  I am happy to teach absolute beginners, both child and adult, through advanced students.  I concentrate on breath support, clean tonguing, musical expression, and enjoyment of playing music.  I have taught students who play, or have played, in the Maryland Classical Youth Orchestra and the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra.

My teachers have included Joseph Singer and James Chambers, both former principal hornists of the New York Philharmonic, James Stagliano, former principal horn of the Boston Symphony, and Frank Donaruma, principal horn of American Ballet orchestra at Lincoln Center and an A list free lance horn in the New York metropolitan area.

In addition to performing on the French Horn, I spent over 30 years in the music business and now work in website development, email communications, as well as audio and video production.
