William Murphy is a professional multi-instrumentalist and experienced music instructor with over 27 years of guitar playing experience. With a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary music, William holds a degree in Classical Guitar Performance and has spent years performing as a gigging jazz guitarist while also working extensively in rock and progressive metal.

William was a member of the progressive metal band Painted in Exile (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Painted_in_Exile), gaining recognition within the modern progressive metal scene for technical musicianship and composition. In addition to performing and recording, he has taught students ranging from beginners to highly advanced players, including the children of renowned musicians such as John Petrucci of Dream Theater and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.

As an instructor, William teaches guitar, piano, and bass, helping students develop strong fundamentals while also guiding more advanced musicians toward higher levels of technical mastery and musical understanding.
