About Danielle Akta

Born into a family of musicians at 2002, Danielle’s extraordinary talent was evident from a young age, making her solo debut at age 11 with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since then, Danielle has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie hall, Chicago symphony hall, Roy Thompson hall, Teatro colon, Sala Sao Paolo, Teatro Municipal, Tchaikovsky hall, the grand music hall of Moscow, Church of Saint Poul (Vatican), Palacio des bellas artes, Barbican Center hall, Lincoln center, Louis Vuitton Auditorium, The Boulez Saal (Berlin), The Grand Synagogue of Paris and many more. She has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras such at the Russian Philharmonic, Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam Symphony Orchestra, Staatsorchester Darmstadt, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Virtuosi, Cannes symphony Orchestra, Novosibirsk Philharmonic, Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra, and the bologna Chamber Orchestra. She has collaborated with esteemed conductor: including Julian Rachlin, Daniel Cohen, Daniel Ettinger, Fabio Mechetti, Vladimir Spivakov, Conrad van Alphen, Gábor Hollerung, Daniel Boico, Arsenty Tachenko, Yeruham Sharovsky, Dmitry Yablonsky, Ariel Zukerman and Mischa Katz.

Critics have praised Danielle for her expressive artistry, virtuosity, and magnetic stage presence. The Washington Post described her ability to "make her instrument both sing and dance," while Musical Toronto highlighted her "unbridled joy of music-making." Buzz News Chicago noted her "emotional intensity that knocked the room out," and Seen and Heard International called her tone "exquisite, warm, caressing, and singing." The Daily Gazette hailed her as "exuberant, wonderfully musical, and totally at ease—a natural performer."

Beyond her solo career, Danielle is an avid chamber musician, having collaborated with Julian Rachlin, Midori Goto, Vadim Repin, the Michelangelo Quartet, Avi Avital, and the Western-Eastern Divan ensemble. She has also worked with Daniel Barenboim and performed at major festivals, including Tsinandali Festival, Kronberg Festival, Ravinia festival, and the Verbier Festival Academy (2016, 2018). She has given recitals throughout Europe and Israel.

Danielle Akta began playing the cello at the Ra'anana Music Conservatory under Galina Arhonovich and Luba Rabin. At age Thirteen, Danielle was accepted as a student of Prof. Frans Helmerson at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler under Troels Svane.

She plays on a cello made by Enrico Orseli (Pesaro, 1925-1930), generously provided by Moshe Kantor.
