Mother’s Day Happy Songs

Mother’s Day is coming up fast. It’s already less than a week away, on this coming Sunday May 14.

If you still haven’t found the perfect gift to let Mom know you appreciate her, why not make her a playlist? Everyone could use more good music to get through the day. Help make Mom’s commute to work a bit more bearable by putting together a playlist of positive music. From the sweet and sentimental to the upbeat and dance-able, we have got you covered. Here are just a few songs we think moms all over the country will appreciate.

The Backstreet Boys: The Perfect Fan

This beautiful piano ballad is a touching tribute to the boys’ moms, with lyrics like “Mom, you always were the perfect fan.” It shows appreciation and gratitude for everything their moms have done to support them. It’s bound to bring a tear to your mom’s eye too.

Taylor Swift: The Best Day

This adorable acoustic song reminisces about those carefree days of early childhood, where nothing mattered except having fun with your family. It harkens back to those innocent days where parents were mythical beings who could do no wrong, with lyrics such as “And Daddy’s smart and you’re the prettiest lady in the whole wide world.”

Fantasia: Baby Mama

This fabulous R&B tune is a tribute to struggling single moms all around the world. It’s a reminder for your mom to stay strong and be proud of all the hard work she’s put in. Its lyrics include “And I think it should be a holiday, for single mothers tryin’ to make a way, but until then, here is your song.”

Snoop Dogg: I Love My Momma

This upbeat 90s hip-hop track is sure to make your mom smile, with lyrics like “My mama was my homie, my daddy and my best friend.” It’s an excellent choice for the funky mom who likes to get her groove on.

Those are just a few songs that should make moms everywhere happy. Their moms are a pretty popular topic for musicians to write songs about though, which means there are many more choices out there. Enjoy, and Happy Mother’s Day!
